My skin is extremely dry, especially in winter. One day I have the air conditioner on and the next, the heater. Those of you who live in Northwest Florida totally understand. I’m sure the changing of the thermometer has something to do with the dryness of my skin.

In my quest to find a non-abrasive facial cleanser over several years, I am so happy to say I found the one; Clinique Take the day off cleanser. I love the way it feels on my skin. I put it all over my face, use my Clarisonic brush, then wash off with a clean cloth. It even removes waterproof mascara. I just rub it on my eyes with my finger tips and wipe it off. I purchase mine on Amazon Prime; mostly because I love the convenience of purchasing a few at a time so that I don’t run out and because it delivers to my front door. Here is a link to https://amzn.to/36ghi33 .
I purchased my Clarisonic brush locally but I do order my replacement brushes on Amazon as well, https://amzn.to/2rx5t9g
My next step is my CC pads from my local doctor’s office. The office staff mixes the formula for me. All I do is call to let them know I am coming by to pick them up then they have them ready at the front desk. “Complexion Correction Plus Pads are a powerful tool for managing skin tone. Best suited for treating the face, chest, arms, legs and hands. Retinoid and steroid-free, the formula contains Kojic acid, Salicylic acid, Vitamin C, and Green Tea. ” https://www.lebeauclinic.com/product/complexion-correction-plus/ .
I do keep these refrigerated. I have a link to my skin care refrigerator below. Talk about a game changer!
CC pads
Next, I use Neutrogena Hydro Boost Hyaluronic Acid Hydrating Face Moisturizer Gel-Cream. I purchase this on Amazon as well, again for convenience. https://amzn.to/2QqTYc2. It is non greasy, moisturizes my skin well, and doesn’t have a strong perfume odor. I don’t want to smell anything on my skin at night.
SunShade
In the mornings I wash my face using the same steps above then I apply this SunShade sunscreen also from my doctors office. It has a slight tint, and feels amazing on my skin. It has no smell, is not greasy, nor does it create a shiny appearance. My makeup applies easily over this formula. https://www.lebeauclinic.com/product/sunshade/
I’ve tried other skin care regimens that worked well, but because of the many steps required to manage the routine, not to mention the expense of the product, I would get lazy and quit for months at a time. For now, at this stage, this routine is working well for me. As seasons change and my skin continues to mature, I may find I need to change it up again. I also must say that I have had to have several BBL and IPL skin care treatments over the last 10 years because of the damage done to my skin in tanning beds and not using sunscreen for the first 35 years of my life. If you are young and reading this, please, please wear your sunscreen. No suntanned glow is worth the price you will pay later.
This is the link to the refrigerator I purchased to keep my CC pads and eye cream in. https://amzn.to/39qdQo9 It is so convenient. I sometimes put a small bottle of water in it so that when I want cold water at night it is closer than the kitchen (Frivolous, I know).
